Control Program

Refer to my Get DX Summit application for user help.

 InstallRigControl.exe  (600 Kb)   Vers 2.1.0.0,  26 MAY 2009
To Uninstall  Use Control Panel  and "Add/Remove Programs"

A Delphi  application.

I have only one rig to test with (IC-756PRO).  Should work on some other
models of ICOM rigs and may be used to test your CI-V interface.
Kenwood and Yaesu use a different command interface.

To use the DX Summit function you must be actively connected to the Internet.
Start Automatic refreshes at 60 second intervals.
Click an entry in the List of stations and your transceiver will be set to the Frequency
of the selection.

-------------------------   SETUP  --------------------------------------

Click on "RS-232 Lines":
Selection of DTR & RTS depends on the type of CI-V unit you are using.
Example:  Early models of the Donner Digital Interface require both DTR & RTS to be checked.
Other CI-V units require something different.   Maybe yours just needs the RTS  checked.

Click on "Setup and Test" to enter your Rig's address ( XCVR ID ).

Click on Settings.
Select  the desired COM port settings from the Serial Advanced Settings screen:
Port = aParity = None,  Databits = 8 Bit,  Baudrate = bFlow Control = None,  Stop = 1 Bit.
a = COM1 or COM2 etc.,  b = set to same rate as that of your radio.  9600 recommended.
Check  "OpenPort".

After the above, click "OK" and "Save Settings" on the "Setup and Test" screen.
The box of white space is the debug area for your hardware interface.
The white space displays the datastream that is being sent to and received from your rig.
Clicking the button to the right of the XCVR ID will send a control string to your rig that attempts
to set the frequency to 14.072.000 .   Changing the dial frequency and/or pressing a "band" button
on your rig should show the datastream in the white space.
This space may be cleared  by clicking on the "Clear" button.
Click "Control Panel" to continue.
