International Listening Guide (ILG)
ILG Short Wave Radio
Control Program

A Delphi Database application.
The software will scan each entry in the database
for the Language (if checked and contains a Language in the entry),
and also for the "Day" and "Time" that the station is on the
air.
The following has to happen before your Rig frequency is changed:
If you have selected a Language, it has to match. Also, Day of station operation has to match the current day and the current
time
has to fall within the operational Time span of the station. There is no need to set a Rig frequency to a station that is not on the air.
Hold Time is in seconds (2-9). This time is used by the Scan
function.
Scanning pauses for the duration of the Hold Time after the software
sends the
frequency to the Rig.
Optionally, a Language selection may be made to further refine the
search.
Manual control of frequency may be made by clicking the mouse on a desired
frequency in the DB grid when in the non-scan mode.
Install ILGRigCntr and ILGSimpo into the same Folder of
your choice.

The IOC database is compatible with ILG Database.
To obtain the latest IOC frequency database register (Free) and Log In at http://www.docuchannel.net/
Click the "Search" tab. Select File Search,
"ILG or IOCHam.dbf".
Rename the downloaded file to ILGSimpo.dbf
********** Please Note **********
The
ILGRigCntr program requires the Borland Database Engine (BDE) installed
on your PC system. The BDE may be obtained FREE from:

I have only one rig to test with (IC-756PRO). Should work on some other
models of ICOM rigs and may be used to test your CI-V interface.
Other brands of rigs use a different command interface.
Click on "RS-232 Lines".
Selection of DTR & RTS depends on the type
of CI-V unit.
Example: Early models of the Donner Digital Interface requires both DTR & RTS to be
checked.
Click on "Setup and Test" to enter your Rig's address ( XCVR
ID ).

Click on Settings.
Select the desired
COM
port settings.
Port = a, Parity = None, Databits = 8
Bit, Baudrate = b, Flow Control = None, Stop = 1
Bit.
a = COM1 or COM2 etc., b = set to same rate as that of your
radio. 9600 recommended.
Check "Open Port"

After the above, click "OK" and "Save Settings" on the "Setup and Test"
screen.
The box of white space is the debug area for your hardware interface.
The white space displays the datastream that is being sent to and received from
your radio.
Clicking the button to the right of the XCVR ID will send a control
string to your radio that attempts
to set the frequency to 14.072.000 . Changing the dial frequency
and/or pressing a "band" button
on your radio should show the datastream in the white space.
This space may be cleared by clicking on the "Clear" button.
Click "Control Panel" to continue.
